This is a wide view of my house in early summer of 2002. At this point, I had just planted the weigela below the bay window, the clematis on the wire trellis in front of the drain spout, and the Lilac Rose that is not even visible in this photo. My husband and I have not yet edged the garden with Belgian block, which we did the next year. The overgrown yews are obvious -- I'd remove them except they add privacy, and besides, that would be really hard! That white object on the lawn seems to be a newspaper.
